Karachi: The Global Fund has approved a $282 million grant for Pakistan’s TB and Malaria Program.
Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel says that the grant has been approved after the approval of the Technical Review Committee of the Global Fund, for which the team of the Common Management Unit and the officers of the Ministry of Health deserve special congratulations.
The Minister of Health said that the Common Management Unit will be strengthened and its efficiency increased, the grant will be effective in eradicating diseases like TB and Malaria. Approved in the first window.
Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel said that I am grateful to the Global Fund team that fought Pakistan’s case and also to the international aid agencies that provided technical assistance to Pakistan in getting the grant.
Abdul Qadir Patel said that the Ministry of Health is using all resources to protect the people from diseases, serving the people is our mission, the health sector is moving towards improvement.
