Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry, president of the central organization Tajran Pakistan, said in a press conference in Islamabad that debt repayment will cost many times more money than defense.
He says that it was hoped that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will formulate the budget through mutual consultation, it will be nothing but a request and exhibition budget.
Kashif Chaudhry has said that the budget presented without consulting the stakeholders will not be acceptable, the government has no clear plan to repay the debt.
He demanded that the General Sales Tax should be reduced from 10%, GST increase will cause inflationary storm, dollar control mechanism should be made in the budget and interest rate should be reduced.
Kashif Chaudhry has also demanded that fixed tax system should be introduced for small businessmen, no investors will be able to come due to 44 types of taxes and NOC of 21 institutions.
