Karachi: The stepson shot and killed his father in Baldia Town Gulshan Ghazi of Shahr Quaid.
According to the details, a person was seriously injured in the firing near Gulshan Ghazi Block A Gulshan Habib Masjid area of Ittehad Town Police Station and was shifted to the Civil Hospital in critical condition. He died during the treatment.
The victim was identified as 45-year-old Yusuf son of Fazal Muhammad.
In this regard, SHO Etihad Town Imdad Ali said that the deceased Yusuf was shot and killed by his stepson Zaibullah son of Zubair and escaped.
He further said that Zubair, the father of the absconding accused, had divorced his wife and after a year and a half, the accused’s mother had remarried a citizen named Yusuf. Accused Zabibullah had come to his mother’s house to meet her and after the meeting, the accused shot at his stepfather in the street after leaving the house and escaped.
The SHO said that the step-father was shot in the chest which seriously injured him who was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital but could not survive.
According to the police officer, the accused, Zeibullah Sohrab, is a resident of Goth Al-Asif Square and is a native of Bajaur, and efforts are being made to arrest him.
