The deputy governor of Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province was killed in a car bomb blast.
According to Afghan media, the car bomb explosion took place in Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan province.
Mehzodeen Ahmadi, head of Badakhshan province’s information office, told the media that Deputy Governor Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi and his driver were killed in the blast, while 6 civilians were injured.
It should be noted that this is the first major attack on a Taliban official in Afghanistan after a long time, but it is not yet clear who is behind this bomb blast.
