Abu Dhabi: A terrible fire broke out in an oil depot in the industrial area of the United Arab Emirates, resulting in the death of 2 people and injuries to 3 people.
According to Arab media, a diesel tank exploded in an oil depot of a warehouse of a fuel trading company in the industrial area of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. 2 people were killed and 3 injured due to the explosion of the tank.
According to preliminary investigation by Ajman Police, two persons were welding on top of the company’s oil depot tank. Sparks falling inside the tank caused an explosion and both the workers died on the spot.
The police spokesman further said that the two people who died as a result of the explosion belong to Asia, but their identity was not revealed.
In the powerful explosion in the tank, fragments of the tank cover hit 3 workers in a neighboring factory, seriously injuring them.
The injured were shifted to the hospital where the condition of one injured is said to be serious while the condition of two is out of danger.
