A referendum was held in Sydney, Australia for the independence of Khalistan, in the referendum more than 31 thousand Sikhs voted for the establishment of Khalistan.
Sikhs living in Sydney cast their votes from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. This was the third stage for the establishment of Khalistan in Australia.
Referendums have been held in Melbourne and Brisbane for the establishment of Khalistan, more than 50,000 Sikhs voted in Melbourne and 11,000 in Brisbane.
The Sikhs who came to vote continued to raise enthusiastic slogans for the establishment of Khalistan, all Indian efforts to stop the referendum proved unsuccessful.
The Indian community living in Sydney mobilized to stop the referendum, the Australian government apologized for stopping the democratic process of a peaceful referendum.
As soon as the voting process started, there were long queues of voters, among the people who came to vote, a significant number of women and elderly people were included.
On this occasion, the voters said that the Sikh nation will not accept anything less than freedom, the atrocities of the Indian government cannot stop the Sikhs from running the freedom movement.
Sikhs over the age of 18 were eligible to vote, referendums have previously been held in Britain, Geneva, and Canada, India is concerned about the Sikh movement for an independent homeland in Khalistan.
Khalistan Council President Dr. Bakhsh Sindhu said that India tried to put pressure on every country to stop the referendum. Britain, Canada have also given their citizens.
Consul General SFJ Gurpatwant Singh Pannu said that it may take time but referendum is the only way to freedom without violence, Sikhs took the ballot route for freedom.
