Karachi: Pakistani bodybuilders returned home after participating in the Olympia Amateur Asia Bodybuilding Championship, the bodybuilders gave their medals to the martyrs of Pakistan.
In the three-day championship held in Pattaya, Thailand, Pakistan won 18 medals in 33 categories, 16 countries including Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Malaysia participated in the competition.
Pakistani bodybuilders won 14 gold medals, the winning athletes named their medals in the name of martyrs of Pakistan.
On arrival at the airport, the Tansazas were warmly welcomed with slogans of Pakistan Zindabad, garlands of flowers were given to them.
Adnan Shaikh won Gold in Men’s Physique along with Pro Card, Khizr Butt won Gold in Senior Bodybuilding and Silver in Classic Physique, Muhammad Zeeshan won Gold and Bronze in Seniors category, Nasir Khan in Master category. won silver and bronze medals in fashion model while Wajahat won gold medal in junior men’s physique.
Similarly, 19-year-old Nauman won gold medals in bench press, deadlift and squads, Mubasher and Zain won gold medals in junior bodybuilding and junior classic physique, 23-year-old Wasim Bashir won 2 gold medals in junior bodybuilding and junior classic. Adnan Shaikh won Gold in Men’s Physique along with Pro Card, Muhammad Zeeshan won gold medal in weight category of Classic Physique, Shahzeb won gold medal in Fashion Model Physique leaving behind India.
Nasir Khan won silver and bronze medals in fashion model and men’s physique category, Rameez Ibrahim also got the honor of becoming the youngest Pakistani international judge, Rameez Ibrahim was also given a lifetime achievement award.
