A high-level meeting was held on PSDP-related budget proposals under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that a special amount should be allocated in the budget for the development of youth in PSDP, measures should be included in the budget for higher education, professional training and dignified employment.
The Prime Minister said that the Pakistan Endowment Fund should be established for the higher education of the youth, free laptops program should be added to equip the students with IT, higher and professional education and skill training in IT should be provided from the endowment fund. will go
He said that the element of transparency and merit should be given key importance for scholarships and education, plans for the promotion of IT should be included in the budget.
The Prime Minister directed that the projects started under Kisan package should be continued and renewable energy projects should be included in the budget.
The Prime Minister said that a special amount should be allocated in the budget for innovation in the energy sector, the projects which have lost importance should be removed from the scope of PSDP.
He said that suggestions of provinces, stakeholders and allied parties should be included in the budget.
The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah and Rana Tanveer Hussain, Advisor to Prime Minister Ahad Cheema, Special Assistants Malik Ahmed Khan, Ataullah Tarar and Jahanzeb Khan.
