Karachi: Sindh Government has decided to start non-stop People’s Bus Service on Lyari Expressway in Shahr Quaid.
An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon, in which Secretary Transport Salim Rajput, MD Sindh Mass Transit Authority Kamal Dayo, Additional Secretary Transport Kiran Sheikh, Member of National Highway Authority Munir Memon, D. IG National Highway and Motorway Police Javed Ali Mehr, DIG Traffic Ahmed Nawaz, NRTC officials Shoaib Ahmed, Abdul Shakur Arain and others participated.
In the meeting, a briefing was given by the National Highway Authority and Motorway Police regarding the flow of traffic on the Lyari Expressway. In the meeting, it has been decided to run a test bus on Lyari Expressway initially and conduct a survey regarding starting the service.
The provincial minister said that running the People’s Bus Service on the Lyari Expressway will reduce the traffic pressure on the remaining roads. Sindh Government is trying to provide the best travel facilities to the people. He directed to complete the test bus service and survey and submit the report by June 11.
