According to the report published in the newspapers, these innocent civilians were killed by the Australian military officer during his deployment in Afghanistan between 2001 and 2013 during various raids without giving them a chance to clean up.

Ben Roberts-Smith rejected the report saying that all the action was taken in accordance with the law and sued the three newspapers for defamation.

During the trial in the civil court, the killing of the innocent civilians of the Australian military officer was confirmed. The judge wrote in the verdict that four of the six murder charges were substantially true.

Ben Roberts-Smith also denied the allegations in court and maintained that he did not commit any illegal act and that the raids followed the rules.

An Australian soldier kicked a handcuffed farmer with a large rock, breaking his teeth, and then shot him dead.

Similarly, shoot an arrested student at least 10 times in the back. During the capture, Talib’s artificial leg was celebrated by holding it up like a trophy and later the soldiers drank alcohol from it.

In addition, 44-year-old Roberts Smith ordered his team to shoot and kill two other Afghan nationals instead of arresting them, which his team carried out.

According to Justice Anthony Besanko, the three newspapers had not succeeded in outlawing the killing of the other two Afghans. The court dismissed the defamation case.

On the court decision, Taliban spokesperson said that this case is proof of numerous crimes committed by foreign forces in Afghanistan.
