The All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) has reported that cement consumption increased during May.
In a statement issued by the association, it was said that cement consumption has increased by 19.4 percent in May.
The sale of cement in May was 3.966 thousand metric tons.
The announcement said that domestic consumption of cement in May was 34 lakh 33 thousand metric tons. Exports remained 5 lakh 33 thousand tons.
In the 11 months of the current financial year, the total consumption of cement was 4.5 million metric tons.
Cement consumption was 14.9% lower than the 11 months of the previous fiscal year.
