Senior Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah says that he has no intention of watching the controversial Indian film ‘The Kerala Story’.
Talking to the Indian media, Naseeruddin Shah said that valuable films like ‘Bheed’, ‘Afwaah’ and ‘Faraaz’ failed, no one went to see them, but people flocked to see the film ‘The Kerala Story’. I have not seen this film nor do I intend to see it.
He described the film ‘The Kerala Story’ as a dangerous trend in the country and compared it to Nazi Germany.
He said that on the one hand, this is a dangerous trend and there is no doubt about it.
He added that we seem to be heading down the path of Nazi Germany, where filmmakers were recruited during Hitler’s era and made to conform to a certain style of film at the behest of a supreme leader. .
Naseeruddin Shah said that Hitler did nothing for his countrymen but only oppressed the Jews.
“Many great filmmakers from Germany have left this place for Hollywood and now I see the same happening in India,” he said.
“But I hope things will turn out well because this environment of hate is exhausting and one cannot spread hate for long,” he claimed.
