Peshawar: Terrorists opened fire on security personnel of the Polio team in Tehsil Spainwam of Miranshah, in which one officer was martyred and another was injured.
According to official sources, after the attack, the security forces started a search operation in the area.
PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the attack on the anti-polio team in North Waziristan. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to the martyred official and expressed his heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the martyr’s family.
The foreign minister said that it is hoped that the relevant authorities will bring the terrorists involved in the attack to justice soon, Pakistan is determined to root out the elements active against the polio virus as well as the anti-polio campaign from its soil.
