Karachi Constructors Association (Sindh) has expressed serious concerns over the sudden stoppage of payments by local bodies.
According to Express News, the Hungama meeting of Karachi Constructors Association was chaired by Chairman SM Naeem Kazmi, in which the notification issued by the Town and Planning Department of Sindh Government was discussed.
The participants said that due to the sudden stoppage of development projects and site payments, contractors faced difficulties, checks issued by municipal bodies began to be returned to contractor companies by banks and municipal departments worked on the files of all construction and repair works. locked up.
On the other hand, Sindh Government has fixed the last date of bills of district and provincial ADP funds on June 10, while their online was also released early due to which there is a fear of delay in completion of the released works of the contractors.
Due to the commencement of works in the entire province in the month of June, there is a shortage of materials. Therefore, in the meeting, on these two issues, the government has been demanded to increase the date of all ADP bills to June 28 as in previous years, and the letter written by P&D to local bodies and banks has been withdrawn. go
The meeting was attended by the members of the central executive committee of the association and other contractors.
