Karachi: The annual examinations of all groups of class 12th in the first stage of intermediate under Board of Higher Secondary Education Karachi have started from today.
More than 150,000 male and female students will participate in the exams. The exams will be conducted for Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science General, Home Economics, Commerce Regular, Commerce Private, Arts Regular, Arts Private, Special Candidates, Home Economics Groups and Diploma in Physical Education.
The exams will be held in morning and evening shifts. Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science General and Home Economics groups exams will be held from 9 am to 12 pm. Commerce, Arts, Special Candidates and Diploma in Physical Education exams will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
A total of 211 examination centers have been set up in morning and evening shifts for the Intermediate Annual Examinations 2023. 117 examination centers have been set up in the morning shift while 94 in the evening shift. A total of 59 examination centers have been declared highly sensitive. Police Rangers authorities have been asked for help for the peaceful and uninterrupted conduct of the examinations and for the convenience of the students.
Like last year, special arrangements have been made this year to prevent duplication in the examinations. Section 144 will be enforced around the examination centers. Mobile phones, tablets, laptops and electronic devices will not be allowed in the examination centers. To prevent duplication, the MCQs question paper will be given to the students in the last half hour of the paper.
