Madrasah student killed in firing during wedding ceremony in Karachi

Karachi: During the wedding ceremony in North Nazimabad Nusrat Bhutto Colony, a madrassa student was killed and one person was injured.

According to the details, the police arrested the three suspects involved in the firing, recovered the murder weapon (pistol) and registered a case against the accused.

The body of the deceased and the injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by a hidden ambulance.

The deceased was a resident of Nusrat Bhutto Colony Sector 7/C near Bilal Masjid and the youngest of 3 brothers, was studying in the Madrasah near the house.

On receiving the information about the incident, SHO Shara Noorjahan reached the spot along with the police party where they wanted to get information from the heirs of the deceased youth. The relative also told the SHO the details and the names of the accused.

SHO Shara Noorjahan along with the police party raided and arrested the three suspects involved in the firing. Among the arrested suspects are Haris son of Abu Bakr, Shehbaz alias Bhaya son of Ali Sher and Alam Zeib son of Ajmal Khan. A pistol was also recovered from the accused.

After the arrest, it was revealed that the pistol used in the shooting belonged to the arrested accused, Alam Zeb, who was brought by Shehbaz alias Bhaya to fire in the air at his wedding ceremony. Killed while Muawiya was injured.

The police formally arrested the three accused and registered a case under 302/324/34 under the incident charge number 319/23.
