Islamabad: Special Judge Central Azam Khan issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Azam Swati on the request of FIA.
PTI leader Azam Swati did not appear despite being summoned by the court. The court had issued a bailable arrest warrant for Azam Swati on the previous hearing. The court had reserved its verdict today after the arguments of the parties were completed, which was released later. Azam Swati was summoned by the court today for charge-sheeting.
Earlier, in the controversial tweet case, the FIA prosecutor requested the court to issue a non-bailable arrest warrant for Azam Swati. The hearing of the controversial tweet case was held before the Special Judge Central Islamabad, in which the indictment proceedings were postponed due to the absence of Azam Swati.
During the hearing, the FIA prosecutor requested to issue a non-bailable arrest warrant for Azam Swati. The investigating officer told the court that action has been taken to comply with the warrant. Azam Swati was not present at his house when the warrant was executed.
During the hearing, Azam Swati’s lawyer Sohail Khan told the court that I could not get in touch with Azam Swati. Where did the investigating officer go to comply with the warrant, how did he comply. The lawyer’s number was given on the compliance report by the investigating officer. When compliance is not achieved, the process is repeated. Azam Swati’s permanent residence is in Islamabad, native place is Mansehra, these are 2 residences of Azam Swati.
The court adjourned the hearing while summoning the officers who executed the warrant.
Later, after a break, on the occasion of re-hearing, the FIA officers who executed the warrant appeared before Special Judge Central Azam Khan and told that Azam Swati was not even at home, neither did anyone open the door.
During the hearing, Special Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi appeared in the court and requested to issue a non-bailable arrest warrant for Azam Swati. The special prosecutor said that in the era of electronic media, every person gets informed moment by moment. The court is requested to issue a non-bailable arrest warrant for Azam Swati.
Azam Swati’s lawyer said that the law of non-bailable warrant of arrest is different, it has to be seen, to which the special prosecutor replied that the law is not a joke.
The lawyer said that a press conference is being held for each employee. The case of the person who holds a press conference ends. Completion of court bailable warrant should be completed first. It is necessary to comply with the order of the High Court before the bailable warrant of arrest. The judge remarked that you should submit the order of the High Court, which orders the execution of the warrant.

The lawyer of FIA said that Azam Swati is deliberately not appearing before the court. The court later reserved its decision on whether or not to issue a non-bailable arrest warrant for Azam Swati, which was later issued.
