The most wanted terrorist was arrested in the attacks on Rangers and Kashmir rally in Karachi and other terrorist incidents.
According to SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur, the terrorist Hanif alias Balu Badshah belonging to the outlawed Sindh Liberation Army (SRA) has been arrested.
The arrested terrorist was involved in attacks on Rangers, grenade attacks on Kashmir rally and firing on Chinese citizens. Terrorist Hanif’s name is in Red Book. Terrorist Hanif received training in terrorism in Afghanistan. Hanif joined SRA in 2019.
The arrested terrorist has revealed in the investigation that the first incident of terrorism was carried out by hand grenade attack on Rangers on 10 June 2020 at Gulistan Johar Kamran Chowrangi. On June 19, 2020, a mobile of Rangers was attacked with a grenade in Ghotki. On July 4, 2020, a hand grenade was thrown at a Rangers vehicle in Kupno Aqil, on August 5, 2020, a hand grenade was attacked at the Kashmir rally in Karachi. On August 5, 2020, Ranaji Estate in Korangi was attacked with a hand grenade. On December 15, 2020, a magnetic bomb was planted on the car of the owner of a China restaurant in Clifton.
The terrorist has also admitted firing on Chinese residents near Jamali bridge. In 2019, a motorcycle full of gunpowder was parked on the Quaidabad bridge, but the explosion failed. According to Hanif, SRA commanders Asghar Shah and Sajjad Shah used to give orders for terrorist incidents. Raids are being conducted in search of Hanif’s associates.
