Lahore: Al-Khidmat Foundation with the support of Pakistan South Africa Association handed over the keys of 30 more houses in Jafarabad area of ​​Balochistan to the flood affected families.

In this regard, a simple but dignified ceremony was organized in Jafarabad in which eminent international cricket umpire Aleem Dar, Zameer Haider, social personality Engineer Abdul Majeed Badani, Chairman of Pakistan South Africa Association Amanat Ali Tarar, Foreign Affairs Head Mahmood Ahmed Butt, Al Khidmat Foundation Balochistan Secretary General Qamar Ibrahim and Senior Manager Media Relations Shoaib Hashmi along with local officials and local dignitaries participated.
Qamar Ibrahim, Secretary General of Al-Khidmat Foundation Balochistan said on this occasion that Jafarabad is one of the most affected areas of Balochistan during the floods last year, where the water stood at 4 to 8 feet for several months and which As a result, people’s houses, crops and livestock were severely affected.

In view of this situation, while Al-Khidmat Foundation continued its rescue and relief services, work was started on other projects including construction of houses in safe places. Engineer Abdul Majeed Badani, a social personality in Jafarabad, donated 27 acres of land for the purpose, on which work is underway to build houses, mosques, water projects and playgrounds for 175 flood-affected families.

He said that the land in this area is in the name of vaders and big landowners, but Al-Khidmat Foundation has given the ownership rights of the houses given to the flood victims to the same families, on which they have rooms, kitchens and bathrooms, and livestock. A shelter has also been built for it.
Chairman of Pakistan South Africa Association Amanat Ali Tarar said on this occasion that Al Khidmat Foundation has made an impact not only in Pakistan but also in foreign countries due to its effective services. Pakistan South Africa Association is a representative organization of Pakistanis in South Africa who come forward to help their brothers and sisters in distress in any time of trouble.

After last year’s flood, Pakistan South Africa Association took full part in rescue and relief activities with the support of Al Khidmat and now they are also playing their role in phased reconstruction works.

Foreign Affairs Head Mehmood Ahmed Butt said on this occasion that reaching remote areas like Jafarabad and helping the victims is the specialty of Al-Khidmat Foundation and we are doing everything from surveying to handing over the keys in relation to the construction of houses in flood-affected areas. Thanks to the local, regional and central team of Al Khidmat for effective strategy in phases.
Renowned international cricket umpire Aleem Dar said on this occasion that the nationwide services of Al-Khidmat Foundation are not hidden from anyone. The establishment of ‘Khuda Ki Basti’ by Al Khidmat for the flood victims is a great idea and I appreciate the services of Al Khidmat Foundation for the flood victims.

He said that we all should play our full role in good deeds. Aleem Dar also assured full cooperation in making playgrounds for children in God’s Basti and providing sports equipment.
Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan Senior Manager Media Relations Shoaib Hashmi said that under the Al-Khidmat Foundation’s ‘Pakistan Tiber-e-Watan Program’, the project of building and repairing houses in flood-affected areas is going on successfully.

After surveying the affected areas, Al-Khidmat preferentially included widows, disabled people, laborers and small landowners and till now 1800 houses have been completed and handed over to the flood victims across the country, including Khuda ki Basti covering 175 houses in Jafarabad. 4700 houses are under construction.
