Lahore: The court declared the search warrant of Imran Khan’s residence ineffective.
Judge Abhar Gul of the Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore issued a decision on the petition filed for the cancellation of the search warrant of the residence of Chairman PTI Imran Khan, in which the court declared the search warrant of Imran Khan’s house ineffective. .
The court declared that search warrants once taken are not permanent. Judge Abhar Gul of the Anti-Terrorism Court pronounced the decision on the petition filed by Imran Khan. Imran Khan had approached the Anti-Terrorism Court against the house warrant.
Earlier, a hearing was held in the Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore on the petition filed for the cancellation of the search warrant at Imran Khan’s house, in which other officers including the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Lahore appeared before the court.
During the hearing, Judge Abhar Gul inquired whether the search warrant has been executed. For what purpose did you go to Imran Khan’s house?, on which Commissioner Lahore said that we went to Imran Khan’s house to remove encroachments outside Zaman Park. We have not yet executed the search warrant. Imran Khan had agreed to remove encroachments from outside Zaman Park.
The court inquired as to whether you still need a search warrant for Imran Khan’s house, to which the investigating officer replied that he would give an answer after consulting the officers.
Later, the court ordered the DIG to appear in person.
