A 15-year-old boy has been detained by the police in Punjab’s Okara for organizing an aerial firing party on the anniversary of Sidhu Musewala.
According to media reports, a post went viral on social media in which Indian singer Sidhu Musawala was invited to participate in an aerial firing program on his death anniversary.
Police spokesperson Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Muhammad Khalid, quoting the post, said that the teenage boy on the death anniversary of the Indian singer. He had expressed his intention to hold a recitation of the Quran and to hold an aerial firing ceremony.
In the invitation, all the miscreants and the Jat community were invited to shoot in the air after finishing the Quran in the street of Samadpura University.
ASI Khalid said that B Division police took the boy into custody as soon as the post went viral. He added that on investigation it was found that the boy is a matriculation student and his age is about 15 years.
