Court orders the federal government to review the case of missing persons
Karachi: The Sindh High Court directed the federal government to review the case of the missing citizens on the requests related to the recovery of the missing citizens and asked the Home Secretary for the list of detention centers established across the country.
The petitions related to the recovery of missing citizens were heard in the High Court. The petitioner’s counsel submitted that citizen Javed has been missing from Liaquatabad area since 2017. Muhammad Umar Farooq has been missing for 5 years, should be recovered.
The court remarked that citizens have been missing for a long time, measures should be taken for recovery. The court directed the federal government to review the case of missing persons.
The court asked the Home Secretary for a list of detention centers across the country.
