Beijing: China, the leader in the world of technology, has faced failure every time it tried to build a passenger plane, but as a result of continuous efforts, it has now crossed this milestone.
According to the world news agency, after decades of waiting, China’s first passenger jet C919 made its first commercial flight from Shanghai on May 28 with 130 passengers.
The aircraft has been in development for a long time, with the first test flight in 2017 before being sold to China Eastern Airlines in April 2022.
Chinese airlines have expressed hope that their C919 aircraft will end the supremacy of foreign models such as the Boeing 737 Max and the Airbus A320.
It should be remembered that China, which has sent satellites into space, built modern warplanes and developed missiles equipped with modern technology, had so far been unable to build passenger planes and had to rely on foreign aircraft.
