Lahore: Caretaker Information Minister Punjab Aamir Mir termed the propaganda of mistreatment of arrested women as completely false and misleading.
Punjab Caretaker Information Minister Aamir Mir said that there is no ill-treatment of women involved in the May 9 malicious attacks, a so-called political party is spreading toxic propaganda about women for its nefarious purposes.
Amir Mir said that the women involved in the incidents of May 9 imprisoned in Punjab jails are being treated according to the law, the women prisoners themselves are testifying to this.
Amir Mir said that the propaganda of mistreatment of women in jails by a political party is a lie, the government is the biggest bearer of women’s rights, Islam also teaches us to respect and honor women.
Aamir Mir said that the police are dealing with women in jails fairly according to the law, the person who planned the May 9 mischief is trying to mislead the public as per the former.
He said that the attempt to gain cheap sympathy through false propaganda has failed, the people have seen the real face of the patron of miscreants, Balwai who is running a shop of lies should be ashamed.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has released the details of the women arrested in the May 9 incidents, the caretaker provincial information minister says that a total of 32 women were arrested in the May 9 incidents, out of which 21 have been released.
Amir Mir further says that currently 11 women are imprisoned in Punjab jails on judicial remand, they cannot even imagine mistreatment of women, action is being taken according to law against women involved in terrorist activities.
