Recep Tayyip Erdogan was elected as the President of Turkey for the second time in a row.
According to state media, Turkey’s Supreme Election Council says that President Tayyip Erdogan is leading with 52.09 percent of the votes during the vote count.
It should be noted that during the elections held on May 14, none of the parties got 50 percent of the votes, due to which the voting process was repeated.
Tayyip Erdogan’s People’s Alliance won 49.52 percent of the votes.
According to the Turkish media report during today’s voting, in the context of the results so far, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has 53.4 percent of the votes.
Tayyip Erdogan started receiving congratulations from friendly countries including Pakistan on his possible victory.
In his statement after the victory, President Tayyip Erdogan said that we have completed the second round of presidential elections with the support of our nation.
It should be noted that Tayyip will rule Turkey. He became the Prime Minister of Turkey in August 2014. He was elected the first president of Turkey in July 2018 in the presidential system.
