The leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the nuclear explosions carried out by Pakistan on May 28, 1998 were ‘absolutely not’.
Nawaz Sharif said in an audio message to the participants of the Yom Takbeer rally at Liberty Chowk Lahore that I congratulate the entire nation on Yom Takbeer.
He said that on May 28, 1998, there was an exam of the nation, during that exam, Allah took his hand and gave him the right decision.
Nawaz Sharif further said that the world put pressure on him and attractive offers were made, but as soon as the Indian nuclear explosions came to light, he directed counter-nuclear explosions.
He said that what we did on May 28 was ‘absolutely not’, Pakistan is not made for a day like May 9, 2023, but for a day like May 28, 1998.
The PML-N leader also said that we had to make Pakistan an economic power along with nuclear power, unfortunately some people started pulling our legs.
He said that we served the country with heart and soul whenever we got an opportunity. Three times our government was terminated under one or the other pretext.
Nawaz Sharif said that May 9 and May 28 are different symbols. One is a sign of destruction and destruction, while the other is a sign of progress, prosperity and invincible defense.
