bill to: The Taliban detained and tortured a professor who tore up his degrees in a live show on TV while protesting against the ban on women’s schools.

According to the international news agency “AFP”, Taliban officials in Afghanistan beat and arrested Professor Mashal, a supporter of girls’ education at the university.

This was told by Farid Ahmed Fazli, the special assistant of Prof. Mashal to the media, on which AFP contacted the Taliban, who have confirmed the arrest of Prof. Mashal, but rejected the allegation of assault.

Abdul Haq Hammad, director of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Taliban government, said in his tweet that Professor Mashal had been involved in provocative actions against the regime for some time and was being investigated by security agencies.

It should be noted that a few months ago, Prof. Mishal, while protesting against the ban on the admission of female students in the university, tore up her degrees in a TV program and demanded the restoration of female students’ education.

Later, Prof. Mashal used to distribute free books to citizens, especially women, on roads, streets and intersections, which the Taliban government warned him about.

Professor Mashal has been teaching in three universities of Kabul in ten years of teaching.

Since the Taliban assumed power on August 15, 2021, women’s jobs and education have been banned. Secondary schools have been closed for a year while female students have been banned from entering universities.
