New Delhi: The Indian agency approached the Delhi High Court to get the death penalty for Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the hearing on the petition filed by India’s notorious National Investigation Agency (NIA) against Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Yasin Malik in the New Delhi High Court will be held on May 29. A 2-member bench of the court will conduct the hearing.
Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment by a New Delhi court last year in a false case. Yasin Malik had told the Delhi court that he did not trust the Indian judiciary, so he would not defend the charges leveled against him.
Yasin Malik, who fought for the freedom of Kashmir, was arrested in 2019 and is currently imprisoned in Tihar Jail in New Delhi.
