Cafe: Ukrainian intelligence has admitted to destroying the bridge linking Russia with Crimea in the attack.
According to international media reports, 7 months after blowing up the bridge connecting Russia with Crimea, the head of Ukraine’s intelligence service, Vasyl Maliuk, has confirmed Ukraine’s involvement in the attack.
“Since the bridge was a logistical route that we had to cut off from the enemy, we had to attack,” Vasyl Maliuk said in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmytro Komarov. However, the intelligence chief did not disclose the details of the operation.
It should be noted that after the destruction of the bridge, most observers have long suspected the involvement of Ukraine behind the attack, while Kiev has refused to comment on the incident. Maliuk hinted in December that his agency may have been involved in the attack.
