Karachi: After being released from Indian prison, 9 Pakistani fishermen reached Karachi from Lahore.
Among the released fishermen are Ibrahim Thiem, Qasim, Usshar Samar Mallah, Sher Ali, Saleem, Ahmed, Bakhsh, Muhammad Iqbal and Abdul Majeed, who were arrested by Indian forces in 2017 and 2018 for violating maritime boundaries. All the fishermen are residents of Thatta and KT Bandar.
Administrator Fishermen Society Zahid Ibrahim Bhatti gave a gift of wages and immediate financial assistance of 20 thousand rupees to the fishermen who arrived in Karachi, talking to the media on this occasion, he said that it is a matter of great joy that Pakistan and India Meanwhile, the snow is melting now, Pakistan released 198 Indian fishermen, India also released permission to 9 Pakistani fishermen.
Zahid Ibrahim said that Pakistan has decided to release 200 more Indian fishermen on June 1, India should also show goodwill and immediately release 97 Pakistani fishermen.
It should be noted that despite the strained relations between Pakistan and India, the release of each other’s prisoners has started by both countries, and another 200 Indian fishermen will be handed over to the Indian authorities at the Wagah border on June 1.
