Islamabad: A meeting of the Audio Leaks Investigation Commission, which was declared invalid by the Supreme Court, was held, in which the commission’s chairman, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, stopped the work of the commission on the orders of the Supreme Court.

The AudioLeaks Commission of Inquiry was heard by Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, in which Attorney General Mansoor Usman appeared. At the beginning of the hearing, the head of the commission, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, remarked that the Supreme Court has issued an order related to the commission, provide us with a copy of that order. The Attorney General provided the copy to the court.

The Commission directed the Attorney General to read yesterday’s court order. Justice Qazi Faiz Isa said that according to the Supreme Court rules, the parties have to issue prior notices. No notice has been sent to the Commission by any applicant. It is necessary to implement the rules of the Supreme Court. An affidavit regarding the notice is also given in the court. None of the petitioners appeared before the commission today.

Justice Qazi Faiz Isa said that a press conference is held outside but no one appeared before us. Neither Abid Zuberi came nor his lawyer Shoaib Shaheen bothered to appear.
