2 youths killed by citizens in Karachi turned out to be ordinary citizens instead of robbers

Karachi: In Orangi Town 20 days ago, 2 alleged robbers who were brutally tortured and killed by angry citizens, mistaking them for robbers, turned out to be civilians and innocent.

Three friends were returning home after attending a wedding when the citizens stopped them as suspicious and started torturing them, as a result of which 2 were killed and the third was arrested with injuries. The three friends worked in the same factory.

During the investigation, the police arrested 3 suspects involved in the violence, while raids are being conducted in search of other suspects.

On May 7, 2 alleged robbers were brutally tortured and killed by civilians near Orangi Town 14 C Ois Pakwan House area of ​​Pakistan Bazar police station, while the third alleged robber was caught and handed over to the police.

The police also found a motorcycle from the place of occurrence, the police registered the incident case number 23/159 under section 147, 149, 324, 302 against 150 unknown persons and handed over the investigation to the investigation police.

The investigation police started the investigation and the facts started to emerge. The 2 alleged robbers who were brutally killed turned out to be civilians and innocent.

Investigation Officer Sub-Inspector Rana Zulfikar told Express that those who were killed by the violence of the angry citizens were identified as Babar son of Farmon and Nazir son of Naseeb Gul and the wounded citizen was arrested as Owais alias Sunni son of Abdul Karim.

The deceased Babar Orangi was a resident of Sector 14C and the deceased was a resident of Nazirbaldia Ittihad Town Qaim Khani Colony while the injured Owais alias Sunni Orangi was a resident of 13 Mulat Islamia.

He said that the three citizens who were killed and injured were friends and worked together in the same factory in the site area. On May 7, the three friends were returning home on two motorcycles after attending a wedding ceremony when some youths of the locality in Sector 14C became suspicious because two days ago a youth named Ishtiaq Naveed was killed in the same area.

The youths of the locality chased the three friends and were searching them near Sector 14 C Ois Pakwan House, when at the same time the citizens who reached the spot mistook them for robbers and started assaulting them.

As a result, 2 friends died on the spot while one friend was arrested in injured condition. No weapons or stolen goods were found in the possession of the three friends, nor did any of their criminal records come to light.

The investigation officer said that the deceased Babar was the father of 5 children and after the incident the wife of the deceased lost her mental balance while the deceased Nazir was unmarried.

He said that the video of the incident went viral on social media, with the help of which the police arrested 3 accused Farrukh alias Amir son of Nazir Ali, Javed son of Azimullah and Shahid son of Ismail involved in the violence. Search is on for other accused involved in the violence.

He said that a stolen motorcycle was found on the spot and a case No. 23/158 under section 381A was registered in Pakistan Bazar police station and in which Owais alias Sunny was arrested and sent to AVLC. He was handed over to the police.
