Khartoum: Armed robbers in Sudan killed 21 people by indiscriminately shooting into a village. This incident happened at the beginning of the visit of Pope Francis.

According to the World News Agency, gunmen fired indiscriminately in a village in the southern region of Sudan, as a result of which 21 people were killed and many were injured. The robbers looted cash and valuables while leaving.

The incident occurred when Pope Francis arrived in Sudan on a 3-day visit to end the civil war, promote reconciliation and brotherhood, and security has been tightened on the occasion.

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan has also appealed to the armed groups to take the path of peace and dialogue instead of civil war. Peace in the country is beneficial for everyone.

It should be noted that the state of public order in Sudan is very disturbed. Various armed groups are involved in looting and in gangs destroy village after village.
