Hyderabad Deccan: Renowned Indian film director K Viswanath passed away at the age of 92.
He was undergoing treatment in a hospital in Hyderabad and was suffering from old age ailments.
Vishwanath was awarded five National Film Awards, seven Nandi Awards, ten South Filmfare Awards and one Hindi Filmfare Award.
In 2017, he was awarded the Padma Shri while the central government also awarded him the Dadasaheb Phalke, the biggest award in Indian cinema.
K Viswanath started his career in Telugu films and made his Bollywood debut in 1979 with the film ‘Sargam’.
After 1995, he also showed his acting chops in several commercial dramas of Hindi and Telugu industry.
