California: Meta, the company that owns Facebook, has begun its third and final round of layoffs.
Dozens of employees from marketing, site security, enterprise engineering, program management, content strategy and corporate communications at the company announced the layoffs on LinkedIn.
According to a LinkedIn post, the social media giant has also laid off employees from units focused on privacy and integrity.
Meta was the first major tech company to announce a second round of mass layoffs this year. In the first round of layoffs last year, the company laid off more than 11,000 people.
Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said in March that the second round of layoffs would be completed in three parts by May. After that some small round will keep coming.
