India’s renowned Urdu poet Manoor Rana has been shifted to Lucknow Apollo Hospital due to serious illness, where he is on ventilator.
According to Indian media reports, Manwar Rana’s condition worsened after the operation to remove gallstones and he was shifted to the hospital.
His daughter Samia Rana said that father is suffering from throat cancer while he is undergoing dialysis.
Manwar Rana is 70 years old, lives in Rae Bareli, was honored with the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2014.
Manwar Rana is a popular and admired poet of India who writes in both Hindi and Urdu.
