Lahore: Under Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan’s “Smog Free Lahore” campaign, the mega plantation drive project was launched, 3 thousand volunteers planted 15 thousand saplings on 7 acres of land and started “Urban Forest Campaign”. .
Al-Khidmat Foundation launched a mega plantation drive in the city under the “Smog Free Lahore” campaign. In this regard, a grand program was organized near Lahore Airport with the support of PHA, in which 3 thousand volunteers planted 15 thousand saplings on 7 acres of land and started ‘Urban Forest’. The main objective of the campaign is to encourage people to plant more trees and provide a clean environment by making it smog free.
Al Khidmat Foundation Vice President Dr. Mushtaq Mangat, PHA Director General Tahir Vito, Project Director Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore Abdullah Nisar Cheema, Al Khidmat Lahore Vice President Chaudhry Saleem, Al Khidmat Volunteer Head Sanan Akbar, heads of various universities, Men and women from different walks of life including students and volunteers participated.
The campaign was inaugurated by Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan Vice President Dr. Mushtaq Mangat and PHA Director General Tahir Vito by planting saplings. On this occasion, Al-Khidmat volunteers set a unique record by planting 15,000 saplings in 10 minutes. The participants also planted saplings named after their loved ones, including Arjuna, Pulkan, Sikhchin, Neem, Jamun, Molsari and Amlatas.

Director General of PHA Tahir Vito said that 9 million saplings will be planted every year for 5 years for Smog Free Lahore Campaign, Urban Forest has been built on 7 acres of land at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore. will be built on more sites.
