The recently married Pakistani showbiz industry actress Ishna Shah took a Twitter user who criticized Pakistani dramas.
A Twitter user by the name of ‘Hasan Hai Sahana’ wrote on the micro-blogging site Twitter that ‘watching international dramas, one realizes how limited the Pakistani drama industry is in terms of unique stories, lacking the creative aspect. make them part of the story, or their stories include stereotypical characters such as scheming mothers-in-law, whiny daughters-in-law, and men unaware of the world.
The said Twitter user expressed his disappointment and further wrote that I will not watch Pakistani dramas until new stories are introduced in Pakistani dramas.
Bas Phir Kya Tha To defend the artists and the showbiz industry, actress Ishna Shah shared a long post taking on a Twitter user, in which she wrote about the difficulties faced while working in the industry and dramas based on unique themes. And blamed the audience for the failure of the films.
The actress wrote, ‘We are limited in terms of budget, you will be surprised to know how much budget we work with, production and Pemra have a monopoly, producers risk spending money on stories that deviate from traditional stories. Don’t want to take it because sometimes when they invest money in projects that are out of the norm, the audience doesn’t see it or they get banned.
He expressed hope for the future by mentioning a few projects facing restrictions and wrote that budding filmmakers are coming up with new and unique ideas, all they need is funding.
Along with this, he also told about the upcoming projects that some new stories apart from Saas Bahu and Love Stories will be presented soon.
