Islamabad: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that our team has completed the work regarding the IMF program.
Addressing the function held at the FBR headquarters, he said that the IMF program should be completed, the IMF program will end by June 30, it is hoped that the current situation will be dealt with, Pakistan will not default.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar further said that Pakistan is going through challenges. In 2017, Pakistan was the 24th largest economy in the world and now Pakistan has moved to the 47th place.
He said that Chinese banks have returned two billion dollars to us and we have returned five and a half billion dollars to commercial banks. He said that the IMF review should have been done long ago. Our team has completed the work regarding the IMF program. They are trying to complete the IMF program by June 30.
