Karachi: President of Pakistan People’s Party Women’s Wing Faryal Talpur has said that the mayor of Karachi will be Jiyala and all local body candidates must serve the people of Karachi.
Speaking at the ceremony held in Karachi in honor of the elected local body representatives, Faryal Talpur said that the party leadership has eyes on the local body candidates, all the winning chairman, vice chairmen and councilors have to serve the city.
He said that whoever is the mayor of Karachi will be Jayala because only People’s Party has the right to the mayorship of Karachi and we will bring our own mayor.
He said that after the municipal elections, full preparations should be made for the general elections as elections can be held at any time. Faryal Talpur said that the Sindh government did a better job after the flood disaster in Sindh, while even in the rains, the PPP leadership was busy serving the people on the streets.
Faryal Talpur further said that ‘we have a duty to serve the people and now we will make history by serving the people’.
In addition to local government representatives, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani, Najmi Alam Javed Naguri, Qasim Siraj Soomro and others also participated in the event.
