Islamabad: The Election Commission has ordered Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry to appear in person in the contempt of election commission case.
The contempt of election commission case against Chairman PTI Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry was heard by a 3-member commission headed by Member Election Commission Nisar Durrani, in which counsel Faisal Chaudhry and Asad Umar represented Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry. On behalf of the Assistant Advocate appeared before the Election Commission.

Member Election Commission Ikramullah Khan said that Imran Khan was given an opportunity to appear in a personal capacity at the last hearing as well.
The lawyer replied that there are 150 cases against us, 36 cases every day.
Member Election Commission Shah Muhammad Jatoi said that even when there were not 150 cases, he did not appear. Lawyer Faisal Chaudhry recommended to adjourn the hearing till the first week of June and said that things are not in our hands. The Election Commission should get rid of the fact that we are insulting them. I am pending.
Member Election Commission Ikramullah Khan said that in the previous hearing, an arrest warrant had been ordered for non-appearance.
The Election Commission ordered Imran Khan, Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar to appear in person and said that they will issue a non-bailable arrest warrant for their absence in the next hearing. The case will also be disposed of in the default hearing. Further hearing of the case in the Election Commission was adjourned till June 5.
