President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum Mian Zahid Hussain says that it will be very difficult to run the country without the IMF program.
While talking to the media, he said that without the IMF, repayment of loans will be a difficult task.
Mian Zahid Hussain said that current account surplus is welcome but GDP will remain low.
He says that 20 billion dollars can be saved annually by reforms in the economy, agriculture and energy sectors.
President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum has demanded that in view of the delay in the IMF program, an alternative economic model should be presented.
He further said that instead of political sloganeering, strategy should be formulated according to ground realities.
Mian Zahid Hussain also says that restricting imports is a temporary measure to avoid default.
