Lahore: Former Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari has joined Pakistan Muslim League (N).
Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari and former provincial minister Malik Muhammad Asif Bha met PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz, Maryam Nawaz welcomed them to the party. The senior vice president of PML-N said that the party will become stronger in South Punjab with the inclusion of Sardar Dost Mazari.
In the meeting, important issues including the current political situation of the country were discussed. Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that you are worthy of praise that you bravely fought against the violation of the constitution of sedition.
Dost Mazari and Malik Muhammad Asif Bha paid tribute to Maryam Nawaz Sharif for her courageous struggle for the constitution, democracy and the people.
It should be noted that Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari was elected Member of Punjab Assembly from PP 297 Rajanpur 5 on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf ticket in 2018. On 16th August 2018, he was sworn in as Deputy Speaker with a majority of 187 votes.
However, after deviating from the party policy in the crisis political situation that arose in the Punjab Assembly after the motion of no confidence was presented against former Prime Minister Imran Khan last year, the PTI presented a motion of no confidence against him in July 2022. Later he was relieved from the post of Deputy Speaker.
