California: Technology company Apple has removed 10 applications from the App Store on the request of Pakistan.
According to the 2022 App Store Transparency Report released by the company, Apple removed a total of 1,474 applications from the App Store at the request of various governments.
According to the data, Apple removed 1435 apps from the App Store at the request of China, 14 at the request of India, 10 at the request of Pakistan and seven at the request of Russia for violating the laws of these countries.
Apple received 18,412 requests to remove the app from around the world, with the highest number coming from China at 5,484.
The total number of Apple developers registered on the App Store was 3 crore 69 lakh 74 thousand 15, while in 2022, Apple terminated 4 lakh 28 thousand 487 developer accounts for violating the rules and regulations.
Last week, Apple said the App Store prevented more than $2.09 billion in potentially fraudulent transactions in 2022, blocked 3.9 million stolen credit cards and banned 714,000 accounts for repeat transactions.
Other countries that have applied include Turkey, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Italy, Latvia and Nigeria.
