Bahrain has announced the reassignment of its ambassador to Lebanon.
Bahrain recalled its ambassador from Lebanon in October 2021 and also instructed its citizens to leave the country.
Lebanon’s Minister of Information criticized the intervention of the Islamic military coalition led by Saudi Arabia in Yemen.
In response, Bahrain recalled its ambassador from Lebanon.
On Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain said in its statement that the Kingdom of Bahrain wants to restore its diplomatic representation in Lebanon at the ambassadorial level.
Bahrain says that this development will strengthen the fraternal relations between the two countries.
In response, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Makati said that his country welcomes this decision.
Bahrain decided to restore diplomatic relations with Lebanon after the Arab League meeting.
Riyadh appointed its ambassador to Lebanon in April last year.
