Kuwaiti authorities have issued directives to be stricter in issuing work visas to foreigners so that no one can enter the country illegally.
Kuwaiti authorities issued the orders based on an incident at the airport in which an Asian man who was deported from Kuwait several years ago managed to re-enter the country with a fake passport and a new work visa.
According to the report, when the said person arrived at the Kuwait airport and presented his passport, the immigration officer barred him from entering Kuwait, detecting his previous deportation.
The man was then handed over to airport investigators but fled the transit hall during questioning but was soon re-arrested and is now in the process of being deported back to his home country. It has not been done which country the concerned person belongs to.
In view of this situation, the Ministry of Home Affairs has urged the authorities to be more strict in issuing work visas and conduct thorough background checks to prevent such incidents in the future.
