Oman: The Sultanate of Oman has made history in the Arab world with record exports of natural gas.

The Sultanate of Oman has become the second largest exporter of natural gas in the Arab world.

According to the report, Oman’s total exports of liquefied natural gas during the first quarter of 2023 were about 3.1 million tons, which was about 2.9 million tons during the same period in 2022.

Oman’s liquefied natural gas exports rose by 6.9 percent, the third-highest growth rate among Arab countries.

The report confirmed that the record exports made Oman the second largest exporter of liquefied natural gas in the Arab world, after the state of Qatar.

Global LNG exports reached a record high of 104.5 million tonnes during the first quarter of 2023, up from 98.5 million tonnes in the same period in 2022, the global report said.

The report highlighted that exports of liquefied natural gas from Arab countries increased to 29.5 million tons during the first quarter of 2023, with a growth rate of 7.1 percent.
