Islamabad: A female passenger who arrived in Pakistan from Saudi Arabia was confirmed to have monkeypox virus.
The doctor of Palmer Hospital in Islamabad said that the woman had arrived in Islamabad today from Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Those who showed symptoms were stopped at Hoi Base and tested.
According to PIMs infectious disease experts, the affected woman has been transferred to the isolation ward of PIMS Hospital.
On the other hand, the National Institute of Health also confirmed that the woman was suffering from monkey pox and said that so far monkey pox has been confirmed in four people who came from Saudi Arabia, while there is no evidence of local spread of monkey pox in Pakistan. found
