The vice-chancellors of the country’s public universities have urged the government to restore the Higher Education Commission Ordinance 2002 in its original form and take steps to strengthen the Higher Education Commission (HEC) so that the higher education sector is properly and Can play their role in economic and social development in an effective manner.

He informed the heads of the universities that HEC is working on a plan to establish a “Seerat Corner” in the libraries of the universities so that the teachings and virtues of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) would be disseminated.
The Vice-Chancellors’ Forum also exchanged views on making the role of Vice-Chancellor Search Committees effective, the University Act, improving the quality of education through professional accreditation councils, revitalizing student societies and the concept of Professor of Practice.
