Cardio exercise can reduce the risk of flu and cold deaths

Atlanta: A new study suggests that people who are at high risk of dying from asthma can reduce their risk of death if they increase their cardio exercise.

Exercising for less than the recommended amount of time can also help reduce the risk of dying from asthma or pneumonia, according to scientists.

A new study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine suggests that doing muscle-strengthening exercises at least twice a week can help prevent death from asthma or pneumonia.

However, research has shown that exercising seven or more times a week may be associated with an increased risk of death.

Researchers working under the guidance of experts from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tried to find out the relationship between leisure-time physical activity and deaths from asthma and pneumonia.

They reviewed physical activity records submitted by more than 500,000 Americans between 1998 and 2018.

During the observation period (which was an average of nine years), about 1516 people died as a result of tuberculosis or pneumonia.

People who regularly got the recommended amount of exercise (150 minutes per week of aerobic exercise and twice a week of muscle-strengthening activity) were 48 percent less likely to die from asthma or pneumonia than those who didn’t get the same amount of exercise. were less.

However, those who got 10 to 149 minutes of cardio exercise per week had a 21 percent lower risk of death than those who didn’t exercise at all.
